I am looking into options where pet insurance can be added on. I am not sure if I would do this through my medical insurance or if it would be done through a place that offers home, auto, boating insurance. I remember seeing commercials about Geico offering pet insurance but I don’t know if they still do that or not.

You can go with a stand-a-lone company for this. Healthy Paws, ASPCA, Pets Best, and Pumpkin are a few options out there. There are also “care cards” that help with vet bills and often get you prescriptions at a discount for your pets.
