Brie Anna started the topic Price ranges and availability in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 11 months ago

I noticed that the housing market seems to have houses that sell super fast and ones that last for months. The ones that sell fast are under $300k and the ones that seem to be on the market for a long time are over $600k. I mean this shouldn’t be surprising but I feel like this sets up first-time homebuyers up for a disadvantage.

    Is there any…[Read more]

Brie Anna started the topic What debts can be forgiven? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

I am looking into this more for my sister than myself. She has a lot of debt and her and her husband are struggling right now. They are afraid they might lose their first home together. Are there any debt forgiveness programs they could look into to help them out?

Brie Anna started the topic Getting out of debt and staying out, what is the secret? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

I saw how debt hurt my parents’ lives as well as my siblings so I made a point to never get into debt. I avoided college, limited my card usage, and I balance my money the best I could. It has been easier for me than many others considering my fiance (I have been with him for 6 years now) has no issue being a provider and told me I do not need to…[Read more]

Brie Anna started the topic Which credit card "brand" do you like the most? in the forum Credit Card Co. 1 year, 11 months ago

I have almost entirely had nothing but Visa cards. I am not sure if they are the biggest out there and this is how I ended up having mostly Visa cards or what but in my experience, they have the best rates. I did have one MasterCard and I honestly didn’t like using it because they had some weird fees and restrictions so I closed it. What card…[Read more]

Brie Anna started the topic No higher education, is that really an issue? in the forum Career Advice 1 year, 11 months ago

I want to make a career for myself online. I am not looking to become super-rich or anything. I have a goal of earning $3,000 a month steady through online ventures and I feel like higher education is not needed for something like this. I am just not sure though now because people who make this kind of money at home tend to have degrees.

Brie Anna started the topic OnlyFans? in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 11 months ago

I know this site is known for getting access to online celebrities’ “naughty pictures” but I have heard of people using it as a means to earn an income without doing those things. In that case, what are things you can offer people to encourage them to pay monthly for?

Brie Anna started the topic Does anyone do drop shipping? in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 11 months ago

Apparently, this is a really popular way to make money online. I just don’t know much about it. I am curious if anyone does this here and whether or not they have been successful. I would love to start a small dropship business but I have no idea where to start!

Brie Anna started the topic Twitch for earning income, is it realistic? in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 11 months ago

I hear about people making a living on there all the time but when you go on the site, there are so many, like a good 80% if not more, live channels that have less than 20 people viewing them. Many have no one! How realistic is it to make a living on that platform?

Brie Anna started the topic Easy ways to expand online earnings? in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 11 months ago

I am currently making around $600 a month from combined earnings online. I would like to double this so I am trying to expand into other things. I work from home, my fiance is the main earner in our household. I would like to earn more though so we can work on getting a home together. Any suggestions?

Brie Anna replied to the topic Which credit card will build my credit scores the fastest? in the forum Credit Card Co. 1 year, 11 months ago

There really isn’t a right or wrong card for something like this. It comes down to your spending and paying habits. Find a card that has the best numbers and with a low limit and use it often. Then pay it every two weeks. Your numbers will go up, I promise!

Brie Anna replied to the topic Should I use one card to pay off another? in the forum Credit Card Co. 1 year, 11 months ago

I did this a few times. It is not a bad idea if it helps you in the longrun. Just don’t make a habit of it. I had to in my case because the fees of the one were going up. Just make sure if you do decide to do this, you don’t end up maxing out the other card. Keep it below 50%!

Call and get her name removed or ask for your name to be removed. You can tell them you are not using it and she keeps using it so you wish to give her the primary access and close yourself off from it.

Brie Anna replied to the topic How many cards do you currently have? in the forum Credit Card Co. 1 year, 11 months ago

I have just 2 and my fiance has 3. So between the two of us as a couple, having only 5 is good I think! I don’t need more than two cards. I use one for weekly shopping and pay it back at the end of the month (I get paid once a month) and the other card is mainly for boosting my credit scores.

Brie Anna replied to the topic How can I verify that a debt collector is legitimate? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

Yeah, you can simply start asking them questions. If they can’t answer them or give the wrong information, then you know. A lot of these places that try to scam people will have old names, old addresses, and get things wrong.

Brie Anna replied to the topic If I can pay off a card in full, should I? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

I have had the chance to do this and didn’t and regretted it. I have since paid it off and I don’t plan on making that mistake again! It is not worth holding onto. Stick to keeping just a few cards to keep your scores going up and get rid of extras!

Brie Anna replied to the topic What things can be taken away? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

There is a long process to this before it happens. They make it look quick and simple. Unless you owe money on a house, they can’t just barge in and start taking things or kick you out. They need to do the legal process which can take months or even years.

Brie Anna replied to the topic Does debt go away on its own if you never pay it? in the forum Debt 1 year, 11 months ago

I think it can but it comes down to how much you owe and who you owe. Sometimes banks close down and the debt is never paid back. This happened to me. My first bank account I had, I owed them over $400 because a card of mine wrongly took out a monthly payment from my bank account and put it into the negative. I had no idea and kept getting charged…[Read more]

I haven’t had cable since I moved out of my parents. My fiance and I never got it when we moved in together. We rent and saw no need in having it. We just have internet. That is all we need and since we have no landline and no TV services, we save a good $80+ a month.

Brie Anna replied to the topic Using LED bulbs in the forum Frugal Living Tips 1 year, 11 months ago

We use some LED bulbs and some of the standard ones. It depends on the light and the room. I like to use regular ones in the office space as the LED lights tend to be too bright/white and bother my eyes. Since I work from home and sometimes work at night, I need the light to be warmer.
