Brie Anna replied to the topic How to combat incoming inflation? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 10 months ago
I know it is scary. I planned on looking for houses this year with my soon-to-be husband but we simply can’t afford it yet. I am hoping we can start looking in the fall but he has to get a raise at work and I need to increase my earnings as well. Brie Anna replied to the topic Does using a food delivery service save you money? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 10 months ago

Brie Anna replied to the topic Buy chickens… Seriously! in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 10 months ago
My parents have chickens, I actually grew up with them. It saved them loads of money and still does. I don’t need to buy and raise them as I can just go there each week and pick some up. I do want to get some of my own once I own a home though!

Brie Anna replied to the topic How can I make using candles safer? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 10 months ago
What I like to do is use small bowls of water and place the candles in those. So If it does tip over for whatever reason or the glass breaks, there will be water to stop the candle’s flame from spreading anywhere else.

Brie Anna replied to the topic Is there anyway to cut down on powder usage for a pool? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 10 months ago
Do you mean power? haha, the title made me laugh a bit, sorry!
One of the ways a friend of mine’s family did this was by running the filter less often. If the pool gets used almost daily, there is no need to run the filter 24/7. Just do regular tests of the water, every 3 days or so, and you should only need to run the filter 12 hours every 3 days.
