Dan Charles started the topic How many cards do you currently have? in the forum Credit Card Co. 1 year, 2 months ago

Most people I know have an average of around 8 or 9 which seems insanely high to me. I have 4 myself. Two of which are store credit cards. I feel like having anything over 5 is too much. I used to have 6 but I paid a few off. I don’t need all these credit lines open and I feel like the more you have going, the more you are likely to mess up your numbers.

Dan Charles replied to the topic Is the market expect to increase a lot? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

Oh yes! If you look in your area and pay attention to sales property, you will likely notice houses flying off the market. This is because a lot of investors are snagging them so they can prepare for the price hikes. They will either sit on them and sell them in a year for a profit or they will rent them out. Either way, it is not looking good for…[Read more]

Dan Charles replied to the topic How much does a garage cost in 2021? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

The cost of lumber has gone up quite a bit so you might have a hard time finding an accurate estimate online. The national average in the US right now is $25,000. This included electrical. You can get it for less if you go with other material options but don’t expect to pay much less. I would say the cheapest 2 car garage you will be able to get…[Read more]

Dan Charles replied to the topic Budgeting for buying a home in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

This is similar to what I have been told but not exactly the same. It is always best to aim low, not high. When it comes to bills and everything, rounding up is a good idea for this reason. I always recommend people do that.

Dan Charles replied to the topic How do you figure out what you can spend based on income? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

To get a general idea, use this:

    https://www.realtor.com/mortgage/tools/affordability-calculator/

A good rule of thumb is to not go over 1 week’s pay in mortgage cost. Say you make $3,200 a month. Divided by 4, this gives you $800. That would be a wise number to stay under. This does not include property tax, utilities, or house insurance.

Dan Charles replied to the topic Do you have to pay insurance on a house you are not living in? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

This depends on your area. Some places allow you to not have any but from what I know, most will pressure you to have it. This is especially true for houses in more rural areas. If your house is away from other homes, it isn’t usually a big deal but you have to consider that insurance on that property will cover damages to neighboring houses in…[Read more]

Dan Charles started the topic Does anyone flip domains? in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 2 months ago

I only recently heard of this. I bought some domains last in 2020 as an investment. They are earning me monthly revenue and I expect to get them to double by the end of the year. Anyways, domain flipping! Does anyone here do it or know what it is about. Seems like you can make a nice profit if you know which domains are available and when ahead of time.

Dan Charles replied to the topic Earning Through Blogging in the forum Side Hustle Crew 1 year, 2 months ago

I noticed a dip early into the year. I bought up 4 already earning blogs (domains) and they were making around 20% more than they are now. Most earnings drop off in January and don’t pick up again until April but should be stabilized by now. I would look into things you can change to up those profits!

Dan Charles started the topic Did anyone invest in AMC? in the forum Investing Hub 1 year, 2 months ago

I kick myself for not doing it when I had the chance! The increase just a week or so ago was over 160%! I feel like this is due to people online manipulating the numbers but also down to the fact that COVID restrictions are being lifted and people will begin returning to the movies.

Dan Charles started the topic Building up a platform of blogs in the forum Insiders Side Hustlers' Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I decided to make an investment in some already earning blogs. The average earning of the domains I purchased is around $400 per month and I bought 4 of them. So I have a steady earning value of around $1600 per month. I plan on adding to these and doubling their earnings by the end of 2021. So that $1600 will become $3200 or more. It was not…[Read more]

Dan Charles replied to the topic Is Elon Musk ruining crypto? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

Elon is such a funny dude but you really can’t follow him for any advice. Half the time he is probably high and making senseless tweets but his fanbase acts like he is the second coming of Christ and has to “crack the code” of his hidden messages. I don’t think he is ruining crypto at all, I think his fanbase is though.

Dan Charles replied to the topic What does the Bank Secrecy Act mean for crypto transactions? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

The laws are going to keep changing as the years go on, especially in the US. The government will find any means they can to scrape off the top and make a profit off the backs of others. That is what they do. They are scum. Just protect your assets and investments the best you can!

Dan Charles started the topic Vitalik Buterin is an amazing man! in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

It has been confirmed that Vitalik, Ethereum co-founder, made over a 4 million dollar profit from a $25k investment into Dogecoin he had made back in 2016. What did he do with that profit? He donated all of it. This is why I choose to back Ethereum over several other cryptos out there. Things like this give me hope in humanity.

Dan Charles replied to the topic I was considering investing in DOGE… in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

DOGE is at like what, 0.36 right now? I mean you can easily invest a small number and if it booms again, see some solid profits or you could be out like 20 to 100 bucks. I think it is silly not to have some investments in it at this point. If you can spare a bit of money, just make the investment.

Dan Charles replied to the topic What options do I have to keep crypto safe-guarded? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

You will have plenty of security within your wallet but you always want to make sure you keep your backup password string safe. In that, I would recommend keeping it somewhere that will not be lost, think even in the event of a fire. I know some people who just keep them inside their computer towers or in other appliances (written in permanent…[Read more]

Dan Charles started the topic Ethereum transaction fees are insane! in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

Did you know that Ethereum generates $29.3M every 24 hours in transaction fees? That is insane!

When comparing these numbers to Bitcoin, that is 8 times the amount. I would have to imagine this means they charge more per transaction and there are more people using Ethereum on a day-to-day basis when compared to Bitcoin.
