Lilly Anne replied to the topic Is it smart to use credit to buy crypto? in the forum Credit Card Co. 2 years, 11 months ago
I wondering this and did look into it but it seems like most crypto does not allow you to use cards, if any. I think the way people do this is by taking out a loan. They don’t use credit cards but credit loans.

Lilly Anne replied to the topic Are Discover cards really that bad? in the forum Credit Card Co. 2 years, 11 months ago
I think the reason they are believed to be bad is that they seldom have good cards for people with bad credit. Like if you find a card by Discover you are approved for but your scores aren’t great, there is a good chance they have a very high-interest rate as well as fees.

Lilly Anne started the topic How do I know what company's stock to invest in? in the forum Investing Hub 2 years, 11 months ago
I don’t know much of anything about stocks but someone recommended that I find a company I like and invest in that. He said this is the best approach because you want to invest in something you believe in and will see growth in. I just don’t know how to choose or what to look for.

I tried doing this but my husband wanted cable back. He watches sports and everything so it ends up only being maybe $15 cheaper in the long run because the streaming services for sports are so expensive.

Lilly Anne started the topic Going meatless, does it save? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 11 months ago
Meat prices can be expensive so a tip a friend gave me recently was to have “meatless” meals or days. I am not a big meat eater to begin with so I wouldn’t exactly miss it but my husband loves his meat. I am thinking of having 2 days a week that are entirely meatless just to see if I save a good amount of money. Has anyone tried this here?

Lilly Anne replied to the topic How to keep fast food cheap? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 11 months ago
I have almost entirely gave up fast food because of the price increase and the fact that the places around here always get my orders wrong. It is not worth the cost and the hassle of having to drive back and forth when my order is messed up. It is a waste of gas. I mainly only stick to cheap pizzas and avoid places like McDonald’s because of their…[Read more]

Lilly Anne replied to the topic Organizing coupons – Best strategy? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 11 months ago
I seldom go out of my way to organize or keep them. I know I should but I feel like I would just end up putting time and effort into this only to forget about them. I will use them when it is something I intend on getting right away but if I don’t intend on buying something, the coupons usually just end up being thrown away.

Lilly Anne replied to the topic Using LED bulbs in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 11 months ago
I started using them a few years ago and while I am not a fan of the bright white coloration, I have found some that have that yellow hue so I don’t even notice the difference anymore. As for saving money, I think I save around $20 a month since switching which is great!

Lilly Anne started the topic Does using a food delivery service save you money? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 2 years, 11 months ago
There are places online now that will deliver fresh groceries right to your door and a lot of people seem to think they save you money. I was looking at the cost and prices on Amazon’s service and they seem to have higher prices for most items vs the local store and on top of that, you have to pay a subscription fee. So, where are the savings exactly?

Lilly Anne replied to the topic Is Bitcoin worth it at this point? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 2 years, 11 months ago
Someone I was listening to the other day said by 2030, one bitcoin will be worth over a million USD. I don’t know if this is true or not or how much profit you would make off investment in bitcoin at this point but unless you have a lot to invest, it doesn’t seem like it is worth it. Like if I invested $500 into bitcoin, for example, if it reached…[Read more]

I am trying to figure out which wallet to get for my phone. I am not sure what the options are in terms of “good wallets” so I want to get an idea of what other people are using. I am very, very new to crypto so I don’t want to use the wrong thing or get mislead!

Lilly Anne started the topic Is blockchain and cryptocurrencies the same thing? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 2 years, 11 months ago
I am extremely new to this so please pardon my question if it is a dumb thing to ask. I genuinely don’t know the difference here and when I read about both, at least in my understanding, they sound like they are one in the same thing. If they aren’t the same, can someone explain what the difference is?

Lilly Anne replied to the topic I was considering investing in DOGE… in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 2 years, 11 months ago
Everything I have read said not to invest in these kinds of coins because they are designed to be manipulated and if you are not in the know about when/where this will happen, you just end up losing money.

Lilly Anne started the topic Is there a safe crypto? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 2 years, 11 months ago
I have been wanting to get invested in crypto but I have no idea where to start. Everyone says Bitcoin but I wouldn’t even be able to buy a tenth of a single coin I don’t think. I would like to at least be able to have a decent amount of coins or whatever they are called. Does anyone know safe crypto to invest in that isn’t as expensive as Bitcoin?
