Allen replied to the topic Is the market expect to increase a lot? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

I think the only places you will see a jump up 40% will be in wealthier city areas like NYC and LA. Most suburbs and rural areas will likely see an increase of less than 20%. That can still add up pretty fast! I wouldn’t worry too much. Don’t rush into buying a home out of fear. Talk to a local realtor to ease your worries.

Allen replied to the topic What are the downsides to doing an FHA loan? in the forum Real Estate 1 year, 2 months ago

The only main one I can think of is that you have to pay monthly for mortgage insurance. This is not an optional thing. So you would be paying for house insurance and mortgage insurance which can be costly depending on the house size, location, and what kind of area the house is in.

Allen replied to the topic Best platforms to earn online for creative people? in the forum Insiders Side Hustlers' Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I guess this depends. Are you going to offer a physical item to sell or will it all be done virtually?

Places like Etsy, eBay, and similar marketplaces can allow you to sell items that are physical.

As for virtual, look into places like Fiverr, UpWork, PeoplePerHour, and Freelancer.

Allen started the topic I did woodwork on the side but the prices have gone up! in the forum Insiders Side Hustlers' Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I have always loved building things using wood. I had a side job I did part-time where I would build different things but most decks, rails, and steps for houses. The cost of lumber, in general, has gone up so much that I feel like I have to charge a lot more to do the same work and I feel like I am going to lose business because of it. Anyone…[Read more]

We are waiting for our contract to run out. The wife and I agreed that it is time to just do away with it. We can watch things through Amazon or Netflix if we must. It is just a better overall option because it is cheaper and we don’t feel obligated to sit in front of the TV so it benefits our health too. Only 3 months to go!

Allen replied to the topic What is your favorite money saving tip that your parents taught you growing up? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 1 year, 2 months ago

My father taught me at a young age that it was a good idea to wait before I bought something. He would say, hold onto your money for a week or two. If you forget the thing you wanted, you didn’t want it that badly and you can use the money for something else. I did take this advice growing up but once I was in college, my spending habits got out…[Read more]

Allen replied to the topic How to keep fast food cheap? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 1 year, 2 months ago

I would advise you to just look up the menus online. Look for the dollar menus and value menus where they are available and find things you like on those. You can still get a good amount of food for your money. Also, look out for deals and check for coupons. Places like Arby’s, McD’s, Burger King, and Pizzahut always have them.

Allen started the topic Organizing coupons – Best strategy? in the forum Frugal Living Tips 1 year, 2 months ago

I like to clip coupons. My wife and I do it every Sunday. We have a system that functions but could use some work. We are looking for any ideas, tips, or tricks to staying on top of what we have. We have made the mistake of forgetting or missing expired coupons which ends up hurting our shopping budget. Have any advice for this?

Allen started the topic GMR is maximizing their reach! in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I don’t know if anyone has any investments in GMR but they are really working on pumping this boy up. There are billboards popping up and they are getting rankings on several sites as well as being open up to more wallets as the weeks go on. This is a real good sign I find. I invested about a month ago. Getting excited to see where it goes!

Allen replied to the topic I was considering investing in DOGE… in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I did buy some DOGE but as a joke between myself and my brother. I wish I had invested more than what I did. I ended up using the revenue to pay off the rest of my house and left some in there just in case. I can’t see it hitting much higher than $1.00 at this point though. As you said, they can just keep making and mining more.

Allen replied to the topic Cardano – Risk or smart investment? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

Cardano will likely flourish in the coming years. Some are predicting it to reach a value of $200 USD by 2025. Time will tell! It all depends on marketing, how many people are interested, and how people view it in terms of value.

Allen started the topic Is Bitcoin worth it at this point? in the forum Crypto FOMO Club 1 year, 2 months ago

I don’t feel like it is ever going to come back down to what it was just a few years ago and I still kick myself for not investing! I feel like a lot of people are in the same boat as me where had they took their money and invested in it when it was a few thousand, they would have had a major profit. The amount I was going to put in would have…[Read more]
