Therefore, business is booming for food delivery apps and Uber Eats is looking for more eligible delivery people.
Are there safety measures for delivery people with Uber Eats?
Yes. Uber takes safety and trust very seriously. The company prioritizes the safety of delivery drivers on its platform and have implemented policies and guidelines to help delivery drivers follow CDC approved guidelines. I would argue their app is among one of the most user-friendly and seamless apps I have used in terms of safety and trust. Mandatory safety measures Uber takes:
- Requires delivery drivers to wear masks at all times.
- Uber Eats uses facial recognition technology to help verify delivery people are using masks when delivering frequently.
- Uber requires PPE to be used when delivering.
- The app has features built-in case of emergency situations in which you can reach your emergency contacts immediately if in a hostile situation.
- Trusted friends and family members can track where you are delivering to if given permission through the Uber Driver app.
